On this page we are collecting the taverns that act on the basis of the genuine traditional Cretan cuisine where the tradition, attitude and cooking are found especially good if not superb. In Crete you can find this kind of tavern even from the smallest villages, but where there is mass tourism the traditional food is not always number one priority.
These few taverns are just a beginning of a long project; we visit the same tavern several times just to make sure that the quality is not a coincidence but continues and of course we listen to other peoples’ experiences.
