Kite surfing in Elafonisiby Minoa.info / Juhani
At Elafonisi beach the waves don’t get high, not even on very windy days and that’s why it is possible to see kite surfers from early morning.
At that time there are no sunbathers and few who are walking on the beach, they have plenty to see when the surfers make high jumps in strong wind. Circumstances are also good for practicing because the water is only knee-deep and there are stones only on a couple of ranges of rocks.
Below the surfer there is only 0,5 meter deep water

These pictures was taken at the end of May 2008 when there were also some local people fishing with harpoons in deeper sea.
